Three years after releasing the first gallium nitride charger (bro), Anker has revealed its second gene model. Gan Nano II lineup is more efficient, smaller and better in adjusting temperature rather than the first device wave, according to anker. The company said it did it by updating the chip and internal layout.

Anker has built 30W, 45W and a 65W charger with the same form factor. Each has a USB-C port and Tech Anker Poweriq 3.0, which smartly allocates the optimal wattage to any circumstanced device, the company said.

In the first generation charger, only certain components are made with bro than silicon. The enhanced model has increased the frequency of more than 20 percent, according to Anker. It makes a charger more efficient, because they produce fewer heat when converting AC to DC. They are smaller than the previous device too.

The 30W model is 59 percent more compact than original 30W charger. Anker said it would charge an iPhone three times faster than standard 5W charger. It supports super fast Samsung charging, full macbook air charging speed and other devices, including the latest iPad (2018 and newer) and the Nintendo Switch.

The 45W option has a folding plug and 34 percent smaller than the original 45W charger anker. It adds support for more notebooks, including 2020 MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro 13 ”, several Dell XPS 13 models, ThinkPad X390, Google Pixelbook and Microsoft Surface Book 2.

As for the 65W model, it offers full speed charging for 13-inch MacBook Pro and fast charging for other laptops. Folding plug makes it 58 smaller than the original 61W charger anker.

Chargers Gan Nano II is now available for pre-orders through Amazon and Anker. The 30W model is $ 30, the 45W option is worth $ 36 and the 65W version will make you back $ 40. Anker will start selling chargers in the UK and other European markets later.
