Microsoft will launch a new feature that can prove the savior for anyone who is required to review the team’s meeting record.
The new entry in the company’s roadmap company shows collaboration services will benefit from the variable playback option coming soon for Microsoft Stream, original Microsoft 365 video service.
“For recording a meeting team that is saved to OneDrive and SharePoint, you will now be able to change the playback speed (0.5x-2x) while watching the video,” Microsoft explained.

Unfortunately, the playback variable features are still under development and not because they are launched in full public buildings until September.

Recently, Microsoft announced it would immediately implement changes which meant all team meetings were recorded automatically, without the need for organizers or IT admin to choose.
The idea is to avoid situations where participants or absence loss of important information, and to provide a collection of resources that can be consulted after facts, including complete text transcripts and each attachment distributed during the meeting.
With all recording meetings archived by default, the new variable playback speed option will help team users maximize these resources.
It works two-way, allows users to slow down recordings at important moments to ensure there are no main details that are missed, and to accelerate through a less important part of the conversation. Overall, this means activities like minutes take and pursue a missed session absorb less hours a day.
This feature also expands Microsoft’s efforts in which accessibility is related, giving people who are difficult to hear better opportunities to follow the conversation and those who suffer from conditions such as Dyspraxia the opportunity to record more complete.
