The Amazon audio business has been on the roll last year. First there is a new and upgraded Amazon echo that takes sound quality to a completely new level, and now there is echo Amazon (Gen 2) buds that can do the same for the superior noise of the company canceling the true wireless earbud.

To make improvements, Amazon made the New Amazon Echo Buds case smaller (around 40%), and has noticed the technology of noisy cancellation and audio performance as a whole. The result is a true wireless earbud that cancels more noise around before and sounds better, too – plus they are easier to carry.

There are several other small changes here – such as wireless charging adoption through wireless charging pads and ventilation to reduce the pressure built in the ear – as well as some changes in the setting process that will help you find the perfect one by including the edge of the ear.

There are a number of disadvantages here compared to the best true wireless earbuds of Sony, Sennheiser, and Bose (see: cancellation of noise loyos, prominent designs, and potentially broken cases), but if you are looking for a very affordable, noise canceling the true wireless earbuds for Amazon Prime Day 2021, this is probably your best bet.

Price and release date

Available from May 13, 2021 in the US

$ 120 for Buds Echo Standard / $ 140 with Wireless Charging Case

There is no UK / Australia release date

Kuncup Echo Amazon (2nd Gene) is available starting May 13, 2021 in the US at an introductory price of $ 100 (around £ 70, au $ 130), around $ 30 less than the original Echo Amazon bud. However, in the end, the price of the introduction will end and you will see the price of a $ 120 sticker (around £ 85, au $ 150).

If you want a model with a wireless charging case, Amazon will sell it for $ 120 during the introduction period and finally rises to $ 140 (around £ 100, au $ 180) at the next point. That said, even though the price tended to return during the Amazon Prime Day later this year.

Unfortunately, no Release date of England or Australia has been announced at this time.

How do I accumulate in competition? Well, even at $ 120, Echo Amazon bud (Gen 2) is some of the cheapest true wireless earbuds out there. Earbud Bose Quietcomfort is worth $ 279 / £ 249 / au $ 399, while our favorite model, Sony WF-1000xm3, comes at $ 170 / £ 170 / au $ 199.

There are several cheaper wireless models that are cheaper out there we recommend (see: Lypertek PurePlay Z3) but in terms of big-flagship earbuds with some level of active noise cancellation, the new Echo Amazon bud is one of the cheapest choices out there.

Design

Both shoots and casts are smaller than before …

but the Earbud still protrudes out of the ear

The kasing is light and small, but also a little fragile

The tent feature of the new Amazon Echo bud (Gen 2) is its smaller size. The bud is around 20% smaller than before, according to Amazon, while the case is around 40% smaller and looks very different.

Because of the size of their overall reduction is lighter, and therefore a little more comfortable to wear for a longer period of time.

Another key repair is a new laser ventilation in the Earbud itself which reduces the accumulation of pressure. This is the design feature that we first saw with Powerbeats Pro a few years ago, and now it is basically a subject of every true wireless earbud couple.

Although smaller and certainly more comfortable to wear, the echo buds indeed extends out of your ears a little – not enough to make them look awkward, but enough for them to rub with hoods if you wear one or opposing the pillow when you lie down. None of them exercise directly, but they can be an important factor when deciding which a pair of earbuds you want to take.
