Motorola announced Edge X30 Pro with RAZR 2022 next week, on August 2. When we get closer to that moment, we learn more about devices – this time all about the X30 Pro.
According to Chen Jin, GM Lenovo from his cellphone business in China, the X30 Pro will be more expensive than the X30, which was launched last December. The cellphone starts at CNY 2,999 (around $ 444), but the new X30 Pro will not be able to match the price.
The cause is easily identified: First, the X30 Pro comes with a 200 MP camera, the first on a smartphone, and the sensor is indeed very large (and thus, may be very expensive). Furthermore, the X30 Pro uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, a newer and better chipset compared to 8 Gen 1 in X30 – but also seems more expensive.
So because of these components, Lenovo’s Motorola cannot store prices below CNY 3,000. Unfortunately GM does not reveal exactly what we have to expect, but next Tuesday is not too far away, and we will know then.
Note that Edge X30 Pro has long been reportedly launched outside China at the next point, changed its name to Edge 30 Ultra. Obviously, one must also be more expensive than Edge 30 Pro which is an EDGE X30 whose name is replaced.
Other specifications reportedly from EDGE X30 PRO (and thus, EDGE 30 Ultra) includes 144 Hz OLED screen 6.67 inches, 50 MP Ultrawide camera, 12 MP 2x zoom portrait camera, 60 MP Cam Selfie, 8/ 12GB RAM, 128/256GB of storage, and support for 125W fast charging for 4,500 mAh battery.
