By Sneha Saha: HMD Global has unveiled a new “flagship” smartphone for Indian consumers called the Nokia X30 5G. The smartphone offers a sleek design with a dual rear camera system coupled with various interesting camera capabilities. The India price of the Nokia phone starts at Rs 48,999. And HMD says that this is a limited-time price, which simply means that the price could change in the coming days.
The Nokia X30 5G includes a 50-megapixel PureView camera clubbed with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera that uses AI and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to capture pictures in even higher detail. The smartphone also features various camera capabilities, including — Night Mode 2.0, Dark Vision, Tripod Mode, and Night Selfie. On the front, the Nokia X30 5G includes a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The smartphone also comes with the GoPro Quik app preinstalled, so users can shoot, edit, and share their creativity from anywhere.
The smartphone comes packed with a 6.43-inch PureDisplay with a 90hz screen refresh rate and an under-display fingerprint sensor for security. HMD Global claims that the AMOLED PureDisplay technology on the Nokia X30 5G offers “more brightness and vibrant colours” and makes “streaming, scrolling, browsing, and holding the device, a joy.” The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The Nokia X30 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Now, just like all other Nokia phones, the new Nokia X30 5G offers three years of OS upgrades. The phone runs on Android 12 out of the box. HMD Global is also offering up to three years of monthly security updates. HMD claims that the new Nokia X30 5G offers 2 days of battery life and the phone also comes with 33W fast charging support.
Lastly, the Nokia X30 5G comes packed with 8GB RAM plus 256GB of internal storage. This sole model of the phone is priced at Rs 48,999 but the company says that this is a limited-time price. This simply means that the price of the phone will change eventually. The Nokia X30 5G will go on sale starting from February 20 on Amazon and Nokia.com.
