Many were announced on Google IO 2021, including updates for Android, using OS, photos and maps. Among all are small updates for Google’s smart home commitment.

While Google previously said it would support the new smart home connectivity protocol material, the technology giant had put a plan on how it would do it.

Google plans to launch material support – called a project connected by home via IP (chip) – first to the nest speaker and display, follow which one will be part of Android too.

That means that after updates have been launched, Google Assistant will be able to control smart devices that are capable of material without requiring additional steps such as adding it to the Google Home Ecosystem and linking your account.

Simplify things

Some Google Sarang devices – WiFi Nest, Nest Hub Max and Second-genual hubs – already have multiple connectivity, similar wireless protocols for smart devices such as nanoleaf essential smart bulb and light strip. According to Google, this will also function as a material connection hub after a smart device with a new protocol is available.

Nanoleaf has announced its support for material connectivity, as Philips Hue has, so we must begin to see a smart lamp that is possible when it appears on the shelf this year.

If more brands begins to make a device supported by the material, then the settings and controls will be as easy as scanning the QR code and each simple voice command. Through it will be the days must set individual accounts for several brands and then link it to the Google Home application.

After the Android device gets material support, your cellphone will be the most convenient control hub for your smart home.

Threading Everything together

At present there are no smart devices that are made possible by anything on the market. There are devices running the utas protocol, though – for example, the range of nanoaf essence as mentioned above and some Eve smart devices that are exclusive Apple homepa.

At present, there is only one smart speaker that can work as a hub connection of the UTAS – Apple Mini Homepod. Although some Google and Amazon Smart displays have utas support, they have not been ‘turned on’ to work as a router.

Once the material officially took off, it will support all existing utas devices. In fact, it will support Google Assistant, Alexa, Siri, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and IoT Thread products. With simple words, the material will be one protocol to control everything.

Google has not announced a time frame when material support will be launched into the nest and Android device, but the smart device activated material is expected to be sold at the end of 2021.
