The past decade, Abarth’s name is more than the upper class trim level in some Fiat cars. In the 1950s and 1960s, Abarth was the name in several racing cars in Europe who ran using various machines from Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and Porsche. The machines are full of vehicle hood using body panels formed by hand.
ABARTH 1000 SP Roadster is a Reimagined version of 1000 SP Race Winner. While the vehicle has been officially announced, there is not much detail about it available. We know that he uses a carbon fiber chassis tub, the MacPherson strut rear suspension and a Mid-mount turbo four-cylinder engine that makes 237 horsepower.
Although not called, it certainly sounds like a vehicle starting life as an example of Alfa Romeo 4C Spider which is now stopped. The resemblance between the original 1000 SP and Abarth 1000 SP Roadster is clearly visible in the picture, with two cars sitting side by side in the garage seen in the gallery below.
What is worth noting for those who have never seen 4C directly is that the car is very small. The fact that it was large compared to 1000 SP racing cars showing how small the classic vehicle was. Roadster Abarth 1000 SP uses a modern projector headlights intended to remind the original racing car parking light. Hoods have a large horizontal slot that resets one of the most prominent design cues of the original racing car.
ABARTH 1000 SP Roadster also has a black roll neck behind a chair which is very similar to those in classic racers. Unfortunately, the production opportunities of all types for Abarth 1000 SP Roadster have not exist since the 4C donor cars are out of production in 2020.
