At CES 2022, Intel revealed the 12th generation of tempting, a limited edition CPU that could increase one of the core to 5.5GHz. This will be part of what is called the KS series and the real name is the Core i9-12900ks.
During the announcement, Intel showed off a configuration demo that was running Hitman 3 and the CPU maintained a solid 5.2GHz clock speed on all the show cores. Of course, like the I9-12900K standard core, this one also has a set of 8 e-core saving power. However, there is no additional information about the temperature or draw given.
Initially, the CPU will only be available for OEM and then it will be available to be purchased by the end user. There are no certain time frames given.
