Toyota sells several more popular hybrid plug-in electric vehicles available in California. Car makers have announced a new clean assistance program that allows carbon free charging from Toyota plug-in owners in California. Under this program, the owner of Prime Prime Prime and RAV4 who qualifies in California can charge their vehicles with 100 percent filling energy that matches the renewable electricity without additional costs to consumers.
The Clean Assist allows the owner who qualifies to compensate for charging vehicles with 100 percent renewable energy wherever the vehicle is plugged in. Clean helper requires a qualified vehicle owner to choose the Toyota application. This application tracks the amount of electricity they use when charging.
Toyota then produces or buys the number of equivalent California renewable energy certificates. The maker shows that renewable energy certificates are programs recognized by EPA which records generations and use of green energy. Toyota sends evidence of the number of matches to the California Air Resources Board to ensure that all Hybrid Toyota’s electric vehicles are matched with zero-carbon electricity.
This program means that the owner can charge their vehicles at home, in the office, or on the road with energy that matches 100 percent renewable power. This application makes tracking how much power is used easily, and the owner can see the number of CO2 they avoid using a clean assistance program.
The owner who decides to choose out of the program can do it for any reason through the application. Toyota noted that voluntarily chose to participate in the standard low-carbon fuel standard program operated in California. The program aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions transportation using renewable electricity to charge electric vehicles.
