EV Maker Fisker is building all-electric popempiles based on the Ocean SUV. He plans to send a vehicle to the Vatican next year.
Co-firer Fisker Henrik Fisker and Dr. Geeta Gupta-Fisker met Pope Francis on Thursday to present their concept for a greener popemobile. This will have a cupola all-glass that will allow the Pope to welcome the public. Presumably, EV will be armored and glasses will be bulletproof, as with popemobiles built by Mercedes-Benz.
Hybrid popemobiles have been built in the past, but this will be fully electrical. “The interior of the transportation of the fiscer oceanic whale will contain various sustainable materials, including carpets made from recycled plastic bottles of the ocean,” Fisker said in a statement.
Fisker aims to start the production of standard oceans in November 2022. Still have to be seen whether the Pope will get his EV before shipping the usual sea. However, electric popemobile is far more likely to really exist than a solar-powered Pope, Benedict XVI wants a decade ago.
