South Korean car maker Kia has officially debuted 2022 EV6 at Times Square. EV6 is KIA’s first dedicated electric vehicle riding a global global global (E-GMP) modular platform like Hyundai IONIQ 5. With it, EV6 has inherited the Powertrain Configuration IONIQ 5, and it’s a good thing.

Hyundai-kia did it correctly in creating a modular platform, rear wheels that support the second motor in front. The EV6 also comes with what Kia’s surprised as the first integrated drive axle produced in bulk in the world, a design that combines driveshaft and wheel bearings to improve handling and comfort up while saving.

“EV6 marks a new and transformative era in KIA’s electrification,” said Sean Yoon, President & CEO, Kia North America, Kia America. “This innovative crossover utilizes many benefits of its sophisticated platform to offer the level of excitement of technology and comfort that will provide an extraordinary ownership experience.”

The first arrived was the first edition EV6 with a dual motor, AWD, and a larger 77.4 KWH battery package. Limited only 1,500 units, the first edition EV6 model has a black wheel arch, 20-inch wheel, panoramic sunroof, augmented head-up display (like in a new class), remote parking assistance, and meridian 14-speaker audio system, among many Another increase.

However, there was a catch. You can’t get the first edition of Kia EV6 for Christmas or vacation since shipping A.S. First did not arrive until early 2022. We thought Kia spoke about the first EV6 edition, which could start ordering this June 3 2021.

The EV6 base has a 160 kW rear electric motor and a smaller 58 kWh battery, both for around 167 horsepower. Updating a larger 77.4 KWH battery allows an electric motor that is installed on the back to produce 218 horsepower, more than enough for fun.

Meanwhile, 2022 EV6 AWD has an additional 70 kW electric motor in front and a 160 kwh electric motor behind. With a combined output of 313 horsepower, the EV6 AWD changed from zero to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds.

But if you want a big father, EV6 GT is worth waiting for a long time. The most effective EV6 version has a front electric motor of 160 kwh and motor 270 kwh behind. Pumping the combined output of 576 horsepower, the EV6 GT can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, enough to get the right to brag into traffic lights. However, 2022 Kia EV6 GT will not arrive until the end of 2022.

Kia hasn’t started talking about the estimated range, but the brand has revealed earlier this year that EV6 reached up to 316 miles (510 kilometers) in the highest configuration. However, Kia mentions one or two things about the multi-charging system E.V. The patented that supports 400V and 800V D.C. Fast charging. This system is compatible with D.C. Chargers from 50 kW to 350 kW, allowing customers to get a distance of 70 miles within five minutes or 10 to 80 percent in 17 minutes.

Inside, Kia EV6 2022 offers a lot of space, thank you especially to the special E-GMP platform. The EV6 has a 114.2-inch wheelbase (such as Kia Telluride), offering 102 cubic feet of passenger space and 27.7 cubic feet of the cargo room behind the second row seat. It also has a panoramic instrument cluster and an infotainment screen consisting of two 12-inch display screens.

2022 Kia EV6 marks the beginning of the new chapter for the brand. Considering Hyundai Ioniq 5 is currently collecting star reviews, we are quite interested in behind the wheel of the All-New Kia electric crossover.
