The Chinese smartphone maker, Vivo, has now officially confirmed that its new flagship series, X80, will be launched on May 18 in India. Together with Zeiss, the Vivo X80 series will have two new premium smartphones; Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro. This new series will be a combination of Zeiss and Sony along with Qualcomm and MediaTek.
The Vivo X80 series will use the zeiss lens, said the teaser. This will not be the first case for smartphone makers to use the famous Zeiss lens on their cellphones. Previously, Nokia phones were known to have zeiss optical features on their top class smartphones.
Vivo X80 Pro will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset along with the V1+ Vivo chip itself for photography. This will also display a fast charging 80W on the expected battery of 4,700mAh. This phone is likely to get 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. This will run on Android 12 on the company’s own leather.
Vivo X80 Pro can use the 6.7 -inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. This smartphone is expected to use a 50MP main zeiss lens supported by a 48MP ultra-wide lens, 12MP portrait sensor and 8MP Periscope lens. X80 Pro may get a 32MP selfie lens.
Vivo X80 can use the MediaTek 9000 SOC dimensity plus 12GB of RAM. This is likely to feature the 50MP Main Sony IMX866 lens along with a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP portrait sensor. Selfie lenses may be similar to the X80 Pro. This can use a 4,500mAh battery with a fast charger 80W.
It is hoped that the Vivo X80 can begin in the mid-30s while the X80 Pro will begin beyond ₹ 50K. This phone will be launched through Flipkart and company retail chain.
