Volocopter is a company that sees itself as a pioneer in urban air mobility. The company has announced its newest aircraft called Varoconnect, takeoff and an electric vertical runway that is specifically designed to connect the suburbs. Varoconnect is designed to equip other aircraft companies that have revealed aimed at transporting goods and people in the city.
Varoconnect has a hybrid elevator and push design, with the company expecting a plane to achieve certification in the next five years. Varoconnect can travel a longer distance than other aircraft in the company’s fleet, open the concept of urban air mobility to cover the suburbs close to cities.
Varoconnect can carry up to four passengers using electricity alone on a route that stretches up to 100 kilometers. The plane can reach speeds of up to 180 km / h when roaming and the top speed is around 250 km / hour. The design is compact, a must for its urban mission, and the design is naturally stable and efficient on a flight forward while maintaining a low kiosk speed.
At present, the Volocopter flies several scale prototypes from new aircraft, with testing quickly developing towards a full-scale prototype. The company has submitted several patents on the technology used on the aircraft. The design uses six electric motors and rotors that raise with two propulsive fans.
Landing gear withdrawn, help activate more efficient flights and more roaming ranks. It is not clear how heavy the aircraft is heavy and how fast the battery is in the airplane charge. Presumably, after each flight direction, the plane will take time to refill on the ground. There is no indication when the company believes it may have commercial flights using the operating Varoma.
