Audi is one of the many car makers who try hard to change the entire fleet to an electric vehicle. Audi intends to have a range of more than 20 full electrical models in 2025. More than half of the newly introduced models for 2021 refined. Audi understands that more and more transitions are automatic buyers from traditional vehicles to electric vehicles, filling infrastructure is very important.
Audi is working on a solution to collect future demands called the Audi Charging Hub. This concept has a high-power charging station (HPC) which can be reserved before to provide a level of planning security. HPC will have a nearby lounge area to provide interesting and premium places to spend time as a vehicle fee.
The Audi Charging Hub will use the cube as a foundation, with each flexible container cube fulfills various technical requirements and housing charging pillars using lithium-ion batteries for energy storage. Audi said this lithium-ion battery will be reused from dismantled development vehicles that provide new purpose cells in life. By using batteries from electrical development vehicles, Audi believes that infrastructure does not require high voltage electrical channels or expensive transformers.
Audi said that around 2.45 MWH electricity will be stored in six charging stations providing charging output of up to 300 kW three high voltage hookup 400 volts. The peak output will begin at 11 kW per cube, allowing the vehicle to charge entirely overnight. Additional energy for filling stations will be provided by the solar panel on the roof.
Audi said by utilizing recycled lithium-ion batteries and green energy generation techniques, modular concepts provide flexibility and scalability while making it easier to choose a location for charging stations. The hub will be transported and can be installed and adapted with individual locations quickly and independently of local network capacity.
