It’s been a long time since we saw a smartphone – or any smart device – which changed the way we do our lives. This month Samsung Display previewing a set of devices that we assume will be a concept, ready to inspire the next generation of smartphones and / or tablets. If the Listing of the EU Intellectual Property Office is an indication of anything, it will appear that Samsung Electronics is close to releasing one of these conceptual devices as a real deal!
Samsung Z Slide is listed here on May 2021 with Eupo as a trademark name registered by Samsung Electronics. Trademarks are submitted as goods and services with the following categories: smartphones, electronic pens for smartphones, cellular phones, telecommunications equipment. Complete documents also include a large number of other bases – but this shorter list is displayed on the main list block.
As recorded by Letsgodigital, this name can be attached to a device that slid up or to the side. Can be as simple as Samsung A80 from 2019, complete with a flipping camera array. Given the video released this month by Samsung Display, it looks like it would be more likely that it could be hit by the side, something like what you saw above and below.
Samsung devices shown in the “better video via Samsung OLED video” is around the dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy Note, while in standard mode. Once requested, the device can slide to the right – the display panel appears from the right side, as if by magic. This allows cellphones to display standard applications when in standard mode, and the next level, new type of application with a larger device display when needed.
This device takes the idea of folding display (can be expanded) to a much more elegant place. Given the promise of “more accessible” Samsung, we hope the masses will be able to pay this device after being released too!
