Given how long Rivian R1T Electric Pickup and R1S SUVs have worked, a month’s delay is not too bad in the big scheme of things. However, the company said it would eventually start shipping in July.
Rivian officers (aka guidelines) began contacting customers to confirm details and provide shipping estimates. The company plans to connect with everyone who has a pre-order launch edition in November. It aims to complete the launching edition delivery in the following spring.
Car makers also reveal several updates for R1T and R1S. Onboard air compressors now come as standard. Rivian also made an optional off-road increase after initially included in the base price. Gear Adventure is now available in configurators, including roof tents and cargo cross options, and kitchen camp sets. There is also a home wall charger 11.5 KWH which Rivian said offered 40 km (just below 25 miles) of reach for every hour of charging time.
