Every time a new type of computing device is targeted at professional work, one of the most common questions that arises is whether it can run Adobe Photoshop. After all, the software, has become a gold standard for professional creative and has also become a measure with the computing platform that is considered opposed. It was once a question about iPad Pro and even M1 Mac new, both of them run on the ARM processor. Now almost a year after promising it, Adobe has fully released the original version of Photoshop for Windows 10 on Arm, with several warnings, of course.
To be fair, Photoshop has run on Microsoft’s arm-based devices for a while now, but only indirectly. Take advantage of Windows 10 Arm capabilities to mimic a 32-bit Windows program to run several programs from Adobe’s Creative Cloud Suite. Unfortunately, it is also one reason for a big warning that Adobe makes about the original version of Photoshop.
Photoshop for Windows 10 on the arm only works for the 64-bit version of the software since Windows 10 on the arm, naturally, is 64-bit. Adobe warns that if you plan to use another 32-bit product from Creative Cloud like Illustrator, you shouldn’t use this original 64-bit Photoshop because you will lose access to all other applications that are not yet available for Windows 10 on arms too.
The problem, however, is Adobe’s steps to make this application available in the Windows arm incarnation. The surface of the pro x, for example, was launched back in 2019 and needed months for Adobe to really push even beta for the original Photoshop version for it. Instead, Adobe faster repeating MAC M1 Apple.
The original Windows 10 Photoshop version of Windows 10 also has other limitations in terms of features, including rocking reduction filters or support for embedded video layers. They promised to come in the next release but Adobe did not mention the schedule for them.
