HMD Global, widely renowned for its Nokia-branded smartphones and handsets, has been moving into various areas lately. The business recently debuted genuine bluetooth earbuds in India, and is now exploring and discovering into the tablet area. We’ve lately seen a lot of activity in the Android tablet area, providing customers a lot of new alternatives to pick from. The Nokia T20 tablet offers two years of Android upgrades and three years of security patches to separate itself from the competitors.

Design & Build
- Ocean Blue finish
- IP52 rating
- Headphone jack
The Nokia T20 retains the brand’s characteristic Nordic style. It features a metallic Ocean Blue finish on sandblasted aluminium. This gives the tablet a more quality appearance and feel than it actually is. At the moment, the T20 is only available in blue.
The tablet is 7.8millimeters thick and weighs 465g, making it convenient to take around in a bag. Although the T20 does not come with a case, Nokia does sell a variety of supplemental accessories, including a sturdy case that will keep the tablet safe when used by youngsters (or you, if you’re clumsy – I’m not judging).
Battery Life
The T20 is compatible with USB-C charging. Additionally, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is a standard feature on more cheap tablets. The tablet is IP52 rated, which means it is resistant to dust and mild water drops – but I wouldn’t advocate bringing it out in a storm.
The power button is located in the upper right-hand corner, with the volume controls close to the right of it. The camera is located on the side of the tablet, rather than the top. This, I’m assuming, is due to the increasing popularity of video calls, which need the tablet to be in landscape orientation rather than portrait.
The absence of a supported keyboard or stylus is one of the most glaring omissions from the T20. Nokia states that third-party ones may be used, however it’s infuriating that there isn’t something made expressly for the T20.
Verdict
The Nokia T20 is HMD Global’s first tablet to release in India, and it competes with the Realme Pad in the cheap sector (Review). With its metal frame and stock Android software experience, the Nokia T20 truly sticks out. Additionally, it guarantees two years of software upgrades and three years of security updates, providing it with a modest advantage. Throughout the evaluation time, I discovered that the large 8,200mAh battery provided excellent battery life but was difficult to charge. While performance is acceptable for casual use, the Nokia T20 may not be suited for gaming. If you want improved performance without spending a fortune, the Realme Pad may be a viable option.
