Today Iqoo reveals three models in 9-series for the global stage, starting in India. There are some overlapping with models that are already available in China, eg. Iqoo 9 Pro is identical to those in China. But Iqoo 9 is new, and there is also Iqoo 9 SE, which is not entirely new, but is called the opposite.
This is not the iqoo 9 which was launched in China, which one closer to 9 pro. This one arrives with a chipset, screen, camera, and battery that is different. Basically, besides the name, Global Iqoo 9 is completely different from China.
This phone is now powered by Snapdragon 888+, Overclock 888 from last year (not 8 new genes 1). Appears with two memory configurations: 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB (no 512 GB option). Note that the Extended Ram 2.0 feature can use UFS 3.1 storage to add some virtual RAM.
This chipset is cooled by a liquid liquid cooling system covering full coverage, which is claimed by the company dropped the temperature of the cellphone surface with 4 ° C (and as much as 12 ° C for the chipset itself during gaming playing).
The phone still runs Funtouc OS (version 12, based on Android 12), instead of turning to origin. This will receive OS updates for two years and additional year security patches (the same thing applies to SE below).
AMOLED display is smaller at 6.56 “, down from 6.78” on the Chinese model. Still has 1080p resolution + and even HDR10 + certification. Iqoo 9 supports the dual touch control of the monster that we see on the legend Iqoo 7 – basically, the display is divided into two zones and each can feel the amount of pressure you apply with your thumb.
The screen offers 120Hz refresh speed and 300Hz sampling rate with smart display chip. This chip can drop the game frame rate to give chipset an opportunity to cool. This does this by entering an intermediary frame to simulate 90 FPS while the GPU only makes 60 fps (this is only supported at the pub for now).
The phone itself is now a little smaller at 159.1 x 75.1 x 8.63 mm. Unfortunately, this also means a smaller battery, 4,350 mAh (down from 4,700 mAh). The good news is that 120W fast charging is maintained and can carry out a full load of 0-100% in just 18 minutes. The bad news is no wireless charging on this model.
