Want to call with an OLED 144Hz screen, high quality stereo speaker, 50MP dual camera, most Android is clean? EDGE 30 Pro Motorola checks the boxes, although the price label is € 800 (although not expensive like some mainstay) may be more or less for some people. So, what about the phone that costs around half?
The vanilla phone has an AMOLED FHD+ 6.5 “display, slightly smaller than the FHD+ 6.7” screen from Pro. However, this is still a 10-bit panel with a refresh rate of HDR10+ and 144Hz. And you get stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. However, we did not see the mention of the troubled glass.
EDGE 30 is powered by Snapdragon 778G+, the overclock version of the popular increase of 778G-0,1 GHz to the main cortex-A78-based core and 20% speed for the Adreno 642L GPU. On this phone is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage (without expansion).
This software is Android 12 in this close form with a pixel experience as well as outside Google, plus some Moto Modifications (some additions tucked into the Moto application). This phone is also equipped with a Motorola desktop environment, ready. As usual, Motorola did not make a big commitment about OS updates, so remember that.
Moving to the camera, this phone has the main module of 50 MP, which offers autofocus and OIS All-Pixel. Next to it is a 6MP Ultrawide-Sudut (118 °) camera which also functions as a macro camera. Both the main camera and ultrawide can record 4K video at 30 fps and 1080p to 60 fps.
However, there is no telephone lens like at the edge of 20. Conversely, the last camera on the back is a 2MP depth sensor. Continue on the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera (with available pixel binning).EDGE 30 is smaller than Pro, so the battery is also not as big as – the capacity of 4,020 mAh still has to last one and a half days, with the calculation of Motorola. And you get a 33W turbopower charger in the box.
This phone has a suitable connectivity package with some negligence. It has a dual-SIM slot and 5G connectivity (sub-6 GHz). The company advertises as the thinnest 5G cellphone – at 6.79 mm, this may be true (with hair and not count the main camera lump). There are basic dust and sparks obstacles with IP52 ranking.
By the way, there are also Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC. Note that the USB-C cable is only connected to speeds of 2.0, so the feature is ready to be used wirelessly (Miracast for TV, Wi-Fi for PC). Also, there is no 3.5 mm headphone jack.
