After the release of exclusive CAD renders of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15, 9to5Mac has now given us a first look at the special edition color of the iPhone 15 Pro. It has been reported that Apple is planning to introduce a dark red color option for the iPhone 15 Pro.
iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Colors
Apple typically releases special color editions of its “Pro” model iPhones every year. The iPhone 12 Pro was available in pacific blue, the iPhone 13 Pro was available in sierra blue, and the iPhone 14 Pro comes in space black and deep purple.
A source has revealed to 9to5Mac that the iPhone 15 Pro will have a new dark red color option (#410D0D). Below is a mock-up of what the color might look like on an iPhone, though Apple’s final design will be more refined.
Potential iPhone 15 Pro Colors
Rumors suggest that the standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will come in light blue and pink colors. However, this information could change as the iPhone 15 release date nears. The iPhone 15 Pro may be made of titanium, like the Apple Watch. It is possible that Apple will offer “natural” and “space black” colors to match the titanium.
Apple tests various colors of new iPhone models before they are officially released. With the transition to titanium, Apple needs to perfect the coating process for the material, considering factors like yield rates, production time, and costs.
For example, rumors suggested that the iPhone X would come in gold, but it never materialized. After the phone’s release, FCC images revealed an unreleased gold iPhone X, showing how close to launch Apple can scrap a new color. Currently, reports suggest the iPhone 15 Pro is planned to come in a deep red color.
