US President Joe Biden gave a speech on Tuesday afternoon at the center of Ford’s electric vehicle in Dearborn, Michigan, and Lightning F-150 was behind him all the time. Ford has teased all-electric F-150 for years, and the company will officially, finally revealed the truck tomorrow. Biden beat them, even though the truck was only seen from afar and no more details about it appeared.
Ford was on track to hold a large event tomorrow, May 19, at 9:30 a.m. ET. There, the company will share details about the pricing and final specifications for F-150 lightning. The F-150 has long been the most popular truck in the US, and Ford said lightning would have more horsepower and torque than the current model.
F-150 lightning will hit the road in 2022, around the same time Tesla’s Cybertruck is scheduled to enter production. Even though they are both fully electric and trucks, there is a chance that anyone will confuse both.
