There is no shortage of Chromebooks within the market, as evidenced by recent figures from marketing research companies. Despite different brands or maybe form factors, most of them share similar traits with few exceptions. Most Chromebooks accompany rather modest specs and traditional screen sizes.

ASUS has been tipped to be preparing a Chromebook that diverges from a minimum of one among those and will be one among the most important Chromebooks, a minimum of those that are available a laptop form. While Chromebooks are the foremost common devices bearing Chrome OS, there are, of course, other incarnations that transcend the clamshell. There are Chromeboxes, for instance, that are coincidentally made by ASUS also, and a few all-in-one or AIO PCs with large screens.

As far Chromebooks are concerned, however, most reach at around 15 inches to maximise portability but which may actually be small for a few people. Although not a lover of that enormous size, Chrome Unboxed predicted that a corporation would eventually begin with a large-screen Chromebook. Perhaps responding thereto, the location received a tip that ASUS will indeed be making one that would even be launched in August.

This ASUS CX1700 Chromebook will apparently boast an outsized 17.3-inch screen to possess enough room for all the productivity and office apps that today’s workers need. They say bigger doesn’t always mean better and this could be an honest example of that. that enormous 17.3-inch screen will only have a Full HD resolution, so be prepared to note pixels. it’d be powered either by a Celeron N5100 or Pentium Silver N6000 from Intel’s Jasper Lake generation which, while an upgrade, remains a Celeron or a Pentium.

Rounding up the leaked specs are 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. ASUS is clearly still aiming for a mid-range or entry-level Chromebook market and it’s a touch questionable whether there’s actually a requirement for such an outsized device. but, such diversity could even be good for Chromebooks, especially now that it’s been revealed to be one among the fastest-growing segments within the PC market.
