By Abhik Sengupta: The iPad Mini (2021)’s price in India has been hiked in India, just after the company launched new iPads. Its price in India now starts at Rs 49,900 (64GB) for the Wi-Fi variant, and the LTE variant carries a starting price tag of Rs 64,900. At launch, the Wi-Fi and LTE variants were priced at Rs 46,900 and Rs 60,900.
Apple also sells an iPad Mini 256GB variant in India, whose selling price has been increased. Its Wi-Fi and LTE variants now cost Rs 64,900 (from Rs 60,900) and Rs 79,900 (from Rs 74,900), respectively. If you’re buying the iPad Mini from the Apple website, customers can enjoy up to the iPad Mini that comes in Space Grey, Pink, Purple, and Starlight. If you’re planning to get a new tablet, Apple is offering Rs 7,000 for its devices, including the mini model.
In terms of specifications, the iPad mini can easily meet most user requirements, though the screen size is so compact – 8.3 inches. It is powered by Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset, which also powers the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 series. At the back, it carries a single 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, and the front also has a 12-megapixel sensor. The iPad mini includes a Type-C adapter, therefore customers with an Android smartphone will not need to purchase an adapter separately. Other key features include touch ID, 5G, Apple Pencil 2nd-Gen support, and Bluetooth.
If you want a bigger tablet, Apple’s new iPad 10th-Gen will go on sale in India on October 28. It is available in multiple storage options and colours. It comes in Silver, Blue, Pink, and Yellow colours. Its 64GB Wi-Fi costs Rs 44,900, and the 64GB cellular model carries a price tag of Rs 59,900. The top-end 256GB Wi-Fi variant costs Rs 59,900, while the 256GB cellular unit is priced at Rs 74,900. Both iPad mini and iPad 10th-Gen do not have a 128GB storage option.
