The Facebook social media platform has expanded the ‘Covid-19 announcement’ in India which will help the Ministry of Health in this country share renewal related to pandemic pandemic with their communities.
Facebook partnered with 33 states and Union regions to launch this tool in their respective jurisdictions.
India is the second country after the US to launch this feature.
This feature functions when posting by the State Health Department page is marked as the Covid-19 announcement on Facebook. This tool helps strengthen the reach of the announcement, so that information can reach people from the country.
This will notify the locals in the affected area of the availability of resources through the Covid-19 information center.

“This is part of our sustainable efforts to support the work of public health authorities to keep people safe and updated with credible information during the Coronavirus Public Health crisis,” Facebook said in a post.
