WhatsApp now allows you to delete messages for up to two days and 12 hours (total 60 hours), so you can delete the chat that is sent accidentally even after the clock. Previously, this limit was 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds – yes, there were seconds involved. The company’s tweet about this feature has just mentioned “a little more than two days,” but does not determine the 12 hour section.
WhatsApp first introduced the UNSEND feature in 2017 with a time limit of only seven minutes but then increased it to one hour and eight minutes. Last year, Wabaainfo noted that the company might consider introducing the seven -day limit, but with this new update, it has chosen a time frame that is rather strange two and a half days.
In comparison, the telegram rival chat application does not have a limit to deleting messages, so you can delete chatter for years after sending it. Apple moves in the other way; After introducing the UNSEND feature for iOS 16 at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in June,
the company reduced the limit from 15 minutes to two minutes in the fourth version of the iOS 16 Beta developer last month.WhatsApp also introduced new privacy features to its application including blocking screenshots for “view-eon messages” and the ability to leave the group secretly.
