The American Semiconductor Maker AMD has announced the Ryzen Pro 6000 processor line-up for premium business laptops. The line-up was built on Zen 3+ AMD architecture, on the 6nm node.
New line-ups are faster than the Pro 5000 series to 30 percent and paired with RDNA 2 AMD graphics, the company said.
There are a total of eight processors on the line-up, with three core six housing, while the remaining five have eight core. There are two U series processors and six H series chips.
AMD said the U-Series Ryzen 5 Pro 6650U series is 1.1x faster in terms of performance when compared to the 5850U series 5000U processor. At 28W, this provides a 1.3x increase over its predecessor and has a much better GPU chip, which also sees performance improvements of up to 2.1x.
The company also claims impressive battery life numbers for new chips, with a video playback ranked 29 hours, with brightness set to 150 nits. The new chip will debut in the second quarter about business laptops from Lenovo Lenovo, HP and more.
