At the end of April, Apple announced that it would launch a paid subscription feature for the Apple Podcast platform. Called an Apple Podcast subscription, this feature will give the creator of the ability to offer premium listeners’ content through the platform. Apple initially planned to launch a subscription this month, but recently sent an email revealing that the launch had been pushed to June.
Apple plans to make the podcast subscription available to users in more than 170 countries and regions, he said in April. After the rolling feature, Apple Podcast users will be able to register for premium subscriptions, get access to exclusive and more content, and ad-free episodes.
Many creators already exist on the board to use subscription options, including major players in the podcasting industry such as NPR. According to 9to5mac, the creator needs to wait a little longer than expected to launch their premium content on the Apple platform.
The company sent an email to the podcast maker who told them at the delayed launch. The decision was made, according to email, “make sure we provide the best experience for creators and listeners.” Apart from that, it seems that Apple plans to push out some ‘adjustments’ to the Apple podcast application library based on user feedback.
Based on e-mail, users can expect application updates in “next week,” while the subscription will be launched at several points next month. The email does not provide the company’s release date for premium podcast options, so it is not clear whether the creator must plan on waiting days or weeks before finally arriving.
