The Sony Portable Speaker Range gets an upgrade of 2021, with XB13, XP500, XP700, and XG500 adds the sound of Bolder, more flexibility, and fast charging support to ensure you spend less time without soundtrack. Pandemic might make us stay at home, Sony said, but it really encouraged sales speakers: As a result, the four new models aimed for more genre-agnostics than focusing on edm-heavy bass.
The smallest of the new speaker quartet, Sony XB13 replaces old XB12 but still with chunky-chunky form factors. However, for 2021, the soundstage became wider and the portability was increasingly simplified.
It is rated IP67 for water and dust, while the UV layer means it will hold even the days that are on the beach. The new multi -way strap can be used on the wrist, to tether XB13 to a backpack or bicycle handlebars, or elsewhere, but also designed to remove one hand. Battery life up to 16 hours, refill via USB-c.
Inside, there are Sony Extra Bass – using passive radiators – while the new driver design makes a better sound than axis, the company promises. Two XB13 can be paired wirelessly for stereo sounds, although unfortunately there is no support for a larger number using the Sony’s Party Connect system. Internal microphone means XB13 can multiply as a speakerphone, and there is the support of Google Fast Pair.
Sony XB13 will begin sending in June, at a low price of $ 59.99. It will be offered in five colors: black, blue, ribbon, pink coral, and blue amazon-exclusive powder.
For 2021, the old XB-Series series has dropped “B” because, the company promised, bass came as standard. Even that Sony Mega Bass, for extra large sub-250 Hz pumps. Sony also uses a rectangular X-balanced speaker unit, which drives more air than a circular driver in the same room.
The Sony XP500 gets two front tweeters, while the XP700 has three front tweeters – two of them are active, depending on whether the speaker is in an upright or horizontal orientation – plus the rear tweeter to expand the soundstage – along with IPX4 water resistance. Even though there is still LED lighting, it is designed more for the current mood: a back fireptic light – which can be flashed and pulsed along with music, or a slower cycle like lava lights – intended to wash on the wall.
But changes are greater than their predecessors are batteries. No longer demands electricity, the XP500 lasts up to 20 hours and XP700 to 25 hours. The Quick-Charge feature adds from 80 minutes to 3 hours playback in 10 minutes, the model depends; Full cost takes 3 hours.
