The 2022 interpretation of the iPhone SE will most probably maintain the confines and overall design of the 2020 model, still there’s some query girding the front – will it still have a forepart and chin or will it switch to a notch?
.
This detail is mysteriously absent from the CAD design that@xleaks7 supplied to CoverPigtou. It was used to 3D print dummies of the phone, which will be called the iPhone SE 5G. It’s missing the Home button, as you would anticipate from a design assignee from the iPhone X rather of the iPhone 8 like the current SE.
Similar details are generally left in place for testing covers and screen defenders, but the missing button is no guarantee that the new SE will switch from a point anthology to Face ID.
All the other buttons are present and in the same locales as ahead. Indeed the phone’s confines are identical-138.4 x67.3 x7.3 mm (8.2 mm with the camera bump). This will make it one of the lowest smartphones to launch in 2022 and presumably means that cases for the current SE will be compatible.
The only thing that may beget issues is the Apple totem, which has been moved up for some reason (it used to be centered).
Still, Apple will be suitable to fit a larger display, If the iPhone SE 5G switches to a notched design. Still, a major increase in size isn’t anticipated until the coming generation – the2023/2024 iPhone SE is bruited to have a5.7” display. That bone will nearly clearly have a notch.
As for the 2022 model, it’s not clear yet. Scuttlebutt has it that Apple wants to unveil the SE alongside the new iPad Air in March or April, so more substantial leaks should surface soon.
