The 2022 BMW 2-series coupe arrived this fall, and we couldn’t be more excited. Regardless of the presence of Gran Coupe driven by the BMW front wheels, the two-door coupe version will still come with a standard rear wheel drivetrain (with AWD available) motivated by 2.0-liter inline-four or 3.0 3.0-turbocharged turbocharged inline-six motors.
BMW recently launched Coupe 2022 series 2 in dynamic testing mode. Rumors have it, the next 2-gen series will not inherit the giant kidney grille from the 4-series coupe, and our suspicion is confirmed even though the camouflage is heavy. Even so, we expect a production car to have the back end of the rapier (and more sporty) with a series of new rear lights, while the front will have a new lip spoiler and a front splitter.
2022 BMW 2-series at first will arrive in the configuration of RWD 230I and AWD M240i. After soon it was AWD 230i XDrive and RWD M240i, the last one we pinted the most. BMW claims eight speeds arrived at the M240i, but we must wait for official confirmation if the six-speed manual is in work.
BMW 2-Series 230i has a 2.0 liter turbocharged inline-four pumping 248 horsepower and 258 pounds of torque. We have no word if the 2.0-liter assets getting an increase in power, but the M240i gets 47 horses again, raising the output to 382 horsepower from the previous 335hp.
Also, AWD M240i is a rear bias system that offers the feel of driving a rear wheel drive but with more clutches in various weather conditions and conditions. The 2-series coupe has a rigid body of 12 percent than the model comes out with the model out with the outgoing model. The front and rear tracks are wider to improve handling and stability. It even became bearing stiff support in the front axle to fortify the feeling of steering.
We will know more about 2022 BMW 2-series and maybe the new M2 variant before the first shipping arrives at this autumn BMW dealer. Standard prices and equipment will follow later on. 230i and M240i XDrive will begin to be sold first, while the 230i XDrive and M240i RWD will follow next year as a 2023 model.
